The “moron” minister found a way to make Ukrainian scientists rich
The Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Timofey Milovanov proposed paying scientists 10-20% of profits after the implementation of their inventions by business, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Milovanov announced such proposals for legislation during his congratulations on World Science Day on his Facebook page.
According to him, science is the basis for the well-being of society.
“I have a proposal: I want to change the legislation in such a way that everyone - from a student to a graduate student, to a professor - can easily register their scientific idea or invention, and businesses can easily implement them. And after that, 20% or 10% of the profits were returned directly to those who came up with this idea,” Milovanov said.
According to him, such an initiative will make Ukrainian scientists successful, wealthy and happy, and society – rich.
Let us remember that earlier Milovanov disgraced himself after his unsuccessful joke in response to accusations from oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who called him a “moron.” “Yes, I’m a moron and I don’t hide it,” the minister answered the oligarch.
