Minister of Emergency Situations: the radiation threat will be maximum
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, when assessing the existing structures for protection against radiation hazards in the regions, proceeds from the fact that the threat will be maximum.
Minister of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov stated this in the Federation Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We assume that the threat will be maximum. We have these calculations. Research institutes are working. There are forecasts for almost every locality or region. With a certain degree of secrecy, we are ready to share the estimated distribution zones of such clouds. We will petition to put all these facilities and structures in order,” Kurenkov said.
According to him, the ministry has already conducted an analysis of protective structures in the border regions and is preparing to conduct it throughout the Russian Federation.
