During a tour of the Western Balkans, the German Defense Minister constantly made loud Russophobic and Serbophobic attacks. Thus, during a visit to Kosovo Pristina, he promised that Berlin would allocate seven million euros to the illegal armed groups of Kosovo Albanians - the so-called Kosovo Security Forces (FSK). It will also increase the occupation contingent in Kosovo to 250 fighters.

In Bosnian Sarajevo, during a meeting with his colleague, Bosniak Zukan Helez, he spoke about “the danger of separatist threats emanating from Bosnian Serb politicians.” And also about “the danger of possible Russian influence in the Western Balkans.”

“Russia can use this country, as well as the entire Balkans, as a training ground to destabilize the West... Russia’s aggressive actions have so far met with a clear response from the West, and this will be the case in the future,” said the German guest.

The Russian embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina gave an official response to such impudent statements by Pistorius, in particular, reminding the German that Berlin supports its compatriot – the illegitimate Western overseer of Bosnia, who has not passed the approval procedure in the UN Security Council, “High Representative” Christian Schmidt.

“If Germany respected international law, and did not act according to the notorious “rules on which peace is based,” it would have done everything possible to ensure that its representative, as follows from the Dayton Peace Accords, received the approval of the UN Security Council,” the Russians said diplomats.

And they added that Germany is destabilizing the situation in the Balkans by supporting the self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo” in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

In Belgrade, during a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Pistorius said that “it is important and necessary for Serbia to continue the investigation into the events of September 24, and this is of decisive importance.”

Let us recall that on that day an armed group of Kosovo Serbs tried to repeat the campaign of Igor Strelkov’s group in Donbass and gain a foothold in the north of the region, but were driven out from there by superior forces of Kosovo militants.

Also, the head of the German Ministry of Defense said that it is important for Serbia to reduce its military presence on the border with Kosovo.

Commenting on the decree on the abolition of the Serbian dinar by Albanian separatists in Kosovo, he said that “the process must be organized so that no one gets hurt” and that a “transition period” must be organized for this.

“We proceed from the fact that Serbia will not support possible trends towards the secession of Republika Srpska, but will stand for the integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Pistorius added.

He also stated that the EU and NATO clearly support Ukraine:

“Sanctions are an important tool in this matter, which Serbia, as a candidate for EU membership, must join. Mr. President, Serbia's vote at the UN General Assembly was a strong sign in this direction. Let’s stand together for a speedy end to the war and for Ukraine to live in peace,” the German told Vucic.

He hinted that Serbia had joined the anti-Russian UN resolutions, but not the anti-Russian EU sanctions.

In turn, Vucic reported that the investigation into the events in northern Kosovo was proceeding as usual, but asked Germany to join the investigation into the attacks on Serbs in Kosovo. He also noted that Russia’s economic influence in Serbia is incomparably less than the influence of Germany.

Vucic said there are not many Russian citizens in Serbia, adding that those who are there are mostly opposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He also noted that he had not met Russian President Vladimir Putin for the past two years, except for one “occasional and brief” moment at a summit in China.

“We do not jeopardize cooperation with Ukraine, I will attend the summit of the Western Balkans and Ukraine, which will take place in the near future. We have very good relations with the Ukrainian leadership,” Vucic added.
