The Minister of Defense of Moldova refused to hang a portrait of Dodon in his office
The Moldovan Minister of Defense gave the order to replace the portraits of officials of the republic in military institutions. Traditional photographs of the president and some ministers, according to Anatolie Salaru, should be replaced by portraits of historical figures and figures of Romanian culture.

RIA Novosti reported this.
The newly elected President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, did not take long to respond to the innovation. He stated that the Minister of Defense failed to offend him with such a gesture. But he fundamentally disagrees with the idea that portraits of Romanian figures should hang on the walls of state institutions, they say, there are enough of our own, Moldovan ones. According to Dodon, surrounded by photographs with Romanian cultural figures, Salaru will not hold the post of chief military officer in the republic for long.
Let us remember that Moldova is a parliamentary-presidential republic; the president there has no direct relation to the formation of the government appointed by the parliamentary majority. At the moment, the relative majority are opponents of the new president.
