The Serbian Defense Minister awarded the Russian military attaché with a commemorative medal
The head of the Serbian defense department, Alexander Vulin, presented the outgoing military attaché of the Russian Federation, Colonel Andrei Sobakin, with the country’s commemorative medal “For outstanding contribution to strengthening the country’s defense system.”

Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin met with the new military attaché of the Russian Federation in Serbia, Major General Alexander Zinchenko, and his outgoing predecessor, Colonel Andrei Sobakin, to whom he presented a commemorative medal, thanking the latter “for his significant contribution to strengthening cooperation in the field of defense between our friendly countries.”
The Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko also took part in the event.
“I thank Russia for its constant support for the process of preserving the territorial integrity of Serbia and our national interests,” Vulin said. – And I am very pleased to receive a personal invitation from the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General Sergei Shoigu, to attend the Victory Parade. This is very important right now, when attempts are being made to revise history and rewrite historical facts.”
According to Minister Vulin, by appointing General Zinchenko to the post of defense envoy, the Russian Federation showed that it attaches great importance to relations with Serbia. He expressed confidence that the new attache will make a great contribution to the further development of defense cooperation between Serbia and Russia, wishing General Zinchenko success in his new position.
