Minister of Communications of the DPR: Ukrainians stole all the money and cannot jam our television broadcasting
Despite the victorious reports, the Ukrainian side is hopelessly losing both the “war of towers” and the confrontation between technologies and the DPR. The Republic continues to successfully broadcast television to the territory of Donbass controlled by Kyiv.

P.N.: The Ukrainian side's testimony is constantly changing: either they seem to have blocked the signal from all DPR towers, or they claim that they cannot do this technically. What is the actual situation – from a technical point of view?
V.Ya.: From a technical point of view, our broadcasting, in their opinion, is certainly a threat. Therefore, they are forced to tell people something, since citizens have the opportunity to receive our TV channels in digital format, some even in HD quality, which the Ukrainian side does not have.
They have such a need to declare something to their own population (maybe it is not their own for them). That’s why they promise certain means to neutralize our broadcasting.
Technically, this is quite difficult to implement, but it is possible. This requires other investments, a different approach, but since not only in the field of television and radio broadcasting in the remaining Ukraine everything is sad regarding corruption, then, probably, as in all the paths of the Ukrainian remaining authorities - in Karachun they trivially cut money and They didn’t sell the tower that was demolished at one time.
They did not implement truly modern transmitters for the tower they built. All these stories that they will “jam us” somehow locally in some cities with some primitive know-how devices are, of course, heresy.
Everyone knows perfectly well what is needed to ensure counter-broadcasting on our territory, what needs to be built. Everyone knows perfectly well how the laws of signal transmission, broadcasts, digital, and radio work.
At the moment, they are doing nothing except trying to once again create some media events that will be drowned by them tomorrow, but we continue to work.
P.N.: How far do DPR TV towers really reach?
V.Ya.: We really cover the entire Donetsk region.
P.N.: Do they watch Donetsk TV in other regions?
V.Ya.: In the Dnepropetrovsk region in Pavlograd it is visible. Especially if the antenna is located at the height of a 9-story building. The situation is the same in the city of Izyum, Kharkov region.
That is, of course, with an ordinary three-meter antenna, if we take private housing constructions, we will not be caught, and higher-level buildings are able to receive us in such cities on the outskirts of the Dnepropetrovsk region and in the Kharkov region in the city of Izyum.
P.N.: What is the result? Maybe people apply for the humanitarian program more often? It’s not for nothing that in Kyiv they are so annoyed by DPR TV?
V.Ya.: Of course, there are appeals, we do sociological surveys of people who are moving, who live on the other side. They are watching us. I can’t say that this is a colossal figure, but 10% of respondents watch our television, and in every city of the Donetsk region.
And this figure will grow - again, thanks to the policy of Ukraine, because it was Ukraine that announced that it was closing analogue broadcasting and moving exclusively to digital.
We already exist in digital broadcasting, and any government programs to motivate the population, to migrate to the area of digital reception, will exclusively help us.
