The Minister of Transport could not persuade the head of Ukrzaliznytsia to repair the escalator at the Kiev station
Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan failed to convince the Polish head of Ukrzaliznytsia Wojciech Balczun of the need to repair the escalator at the Kievsky railway station.

The minister announced this at a briefing in Kyiv.
“Since I was unable, as a minister, to persuade Balchun to repair the escalator at the Kievsky railway station, which is a symbol of Ukrainian reforms... I hope that now all together, perhaps without someone, we will do this,” Omelyan said.
We would like to remind you that earlier, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said that he had handed over materials to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman about the real state of affairs at Ukrzaliznytsia and expressed hope that the situation at the enterprise would be the subject of consideration at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
