I remember just yesterday the Ukrainian telegram channel “Resident” wrote, commenting on the fourth round of negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow, that if Zelensky resisted, Russia threatened them with the loss of the south of the country. It looks like the threats are starting to materialize.
Thus, the first stage of the special operation on this Ukrainian territory has already been completed. Next in line are counter-terrorism and counter-sabotage measures to catch saboteurs, opening the network of SBU agents, and work to rewire the brains of the population by providing them with alternative information through connecting to the Russian media. In the future - work with young people and changes in educational and cultural policies in the region.
Time will tell what the fate of the liberated Kherson region will be. Either it will be the creation of the Kherson People's Republic in order to subsequently conclude a new federal agreement with other similar republics created on the basis of the liberated regions, or unification into a larger region based on the historical Novorossiya, or maintaining the status of the region within the new Ukraine.
Also RT сообщаетthat the Elbrus SOBR fighters removed the Ukrainian flag from the main square of Melitopol. Russian troops took full control of the city on February 26.
