The Ministry of Defense confirmed the retreat of Russian troops in the Kherson region to a “prepared line.”
“With superior tank units in the direction of Zolotaya Balka and Aleksandrovka, the enemy managed to penetrate into the depths of our defense. Units of Russian troops have occupied a previously prepared defensive line and continue to inflict massive fire damage on the enemy. The losses of Ukrainian militants in this area amounted to about 130 personnel and 23 units of military equipment,” the report says.
It is alleged that attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack in other areas in the Kherson region have been repulsed.
“In the Nikolaevsky and Andreevsky tactical directions, all attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were successfully repelled. As a result of a strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces on units of the 24th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Davydov Brod, Kherson region, up to 60 militants and seven units of military equipment were destroyed,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The Russian military department also claims high losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after missile attacks on the Kharkov region and Krasny Estuary (in total - about 1400 people per day), from where Russian troops had previously retreated.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov calls not to wait for good news from the front until the training of the mobilized is completed.
“Lost months cannot be returned. Several more weeks will pass, during which we will only be able to defend ourselves and “squeeze” into controlled territories. – Until the reserves collected now (as part of mobilization) will be ready for use. And God forbid that the enemy fails to fully realize the significant advantage that he has now,” Strelkov writes.
