The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of targets near Kiev and Western Ukraine
The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed the details of the night drone attack - it turned out that targets near Kiev and Western Ukraine were hit. Traditionally, the Ukrainian side kept silent about this, reporting in the morning only that they managed to shoot down 11 out of 14 kamikaze drones.
“In the area of the settlement of Brovary, Kyiv region, the electronic intelligence center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was hit. In the area of the city of Khmelnitsky, the operational center of special operations “West” was hit, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Ukrainian authorities reported the death of two emergency service employees in the Khmelnitsky region.
“They eliminated the consequences of an attack by Russian UAVs at night. And then the enemy carried out repeated shelling,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
Kiev lawyer Andrei Smoliy, who has recently retrained as the author of a blog tracking air threats, does not hide his irritation with the Russian success.
“It’s really sad for Khmelnitsky. The city is deep in the rear, and that’s where most of the flights actually take place every time... We need to draw some conclusions urgently and strengthen the air defense there.”
In general, Smoliy notes a change in the nature of attacks:
“The launch site of the Shahids has been changed. Now it is near Chernihiv region. This allows you to “extend alarms”, launch UAVs in small groups, and make false targets. Accordingly, the alarm can last for 5 hours only from 12-15 Martyrs.”
