Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation: Strikes on Poland and Kyiv are a consequence of mistakes of Ukrainian air defense
The footage of destroyed residential buildings in Kyiv demonstrated yesterday by the Ukrainian authorities is a consequence of the erroneous work of the Ukrainian air defense - Russia did not strike targets in the Ukrainian capital.
Official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov announced this at a briefing in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Konashenkov, all the missiles fired hit their intended targets.
“The target of the strike has been achieved. All missiles fired hit the intended targets, all objects were hit... Not a single missile strike was carried out on targets in the city of Kyiv. All the destruction demonstrated by the Kyiv regime in residential areas of the Ukrainian capital is a direct consequence of the fall and self-destruction of anti-aircraft missiles fired by Ukrainian troops from Ukrainian and foreign air defense systems located within the city,” Konashenkov said.
The representative of the defense department also emphasized that Russian missiles did not hit Polish territory, and the wreckage that was discovered belongs to the Ukrainian S-300 air defense system.
According to Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Leonid Reshetnikov, both the attacks on the Polish border and on Kiev, where a residential building was hit in particular, are the result of the “crookedness” of the Ukrainian air defense forces, which they tried to pass off as Russian missiles:
“Most likely, as in the case of Poland, here too, they are not succeeding with air defense. Even yesterday during the attack, Kyiv stated that they shoot down no more than 30% of our missiles. Therefore, their air defense, thank God, is not very good.”
