Serbian Ministry of Defense: NATO is arming terrorists
The attempt to make Kosovo an independent state and create a so-called “Greater Albania” is the biggest threat to peace in the Balkans. This was stated by Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin, speaking at the Moscow Conference on International Security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The official stressed that NATO, by encouraging the creation of an army in unrecognized Kosovo, which is de jure part of Serbia, is arming terrorists whose place is in the dock, and not in the command of the armed forces.
“The biggest threat to peace and security in the Balkans is the false Kosovo state, led by terrorists. A year ago, I told you that the lack of independent policies of EU member states encourages illegal migration. A year ago I said that the project of “Greater Albania” - a country that was drawn on fascist maps during World War II - is the biggest threat to peace in the Balkans. Time has not refuted me.
The Brussels agreements, which we reached with great difficulty and sacrifice in the hope that we would maintain peace, are not being respected. Just like resolution 1244. No one is responsible for the sacrifices of my people. No trial.
Even in violation of its own laws, the false Kosovo state created troops. At the head of this army are the commanders of terrorist groups. Transferring heavy weapons to terrorists and hoping for peace is more madness than politics.
At the head of these troops are terrorists who have not been convicted not because they are not guilty, but because all the witnesses in the trials that were conducted against them were killed. There was not a single living person who could act as a witness. The formation of “Greater Albania” as an attempt to solve the Albanian national question, and in fact, an attempt to justify the failure to form a Kosovo state, is the biggest threat in the Balkans.
Anyone who thinks that he can solve the national question of the Albanians at the expense of the rest of the Balkan peoples by building a large state for them should know that he is playing with great fire and can lead to misfortune. It is impossible in such a small space as the Balkans not to give the Serbs what you offer to the Albanians,” Vulin said.
Let us remind you that in recent months rallies of the pro-Western opposition have been taking place in Serbia. Experts told PolitNavigatorthat the demonstrations are a means of Western pressure on Belgrade to recognize the legal status of the separatist republic of Kosovo.
Kosovo problem, as previously reported, will be touched upon during meetings between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Chinese leadership and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
