The Russian Ministry of Defense issued an emergency night report, where it reported the destruction of eight German Leopard tanks, thrown by the Ukrainians on the offensive.

“The enemy was stopped and did not achieve the assigned tasks... The total losses of Ukrainian troops in the South Donetsk direction amounted to more than 1500 Ukrainian military personnel, 28 tanks, of which 8 Leopards made in Germany, three AMX-10 wheeled tanks made in France and 109 armored combat vehicles ", the military department reported.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense did not clarify information about the seizure of the settlement of Novodonetskoye by Ukrainian troops, as previously reported by the founder of Vostok, Alexander Khodakovsky.

The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, did not believe the data announced by the Ministry of Defense on the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“To destroy one and a half thousand people, it must be such a massacre, per day, over 150 kilometers, that mother don’t worry,” he believes.

But the famous military correspondent Alexander Sladkov, on the contrary, believes in the mass destruction of Leopards.

“So the German tanks began to burn. There is nothing special about them that won't burn. Everything will continue."

TV presenter Artem Sheinin calls on the Ministry of Defense to publish footage of shot down Leopards in order to remove all questions. In any case, according to Sheinin, the military’s night message “testifies to the extraordinary nature of the ongoing clashes.”

Media technologist Yaroslav Fedoseev recalls that only 60 Leopard tanks were officially delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“If everything is true, then the catch turned out to be significant. And this is just the first day."

The telegram channel of military personnel of the 105th Infantry Regiment NM DPR clarifies:

“The enemy is making progress - up to a kilometer in some areas, but the Ukrainian losses are not commensurate with the result achieved.”

And former adviser to the head of the DPR, Alexander Kazakov, warns:

“Ours can take the hit. But we remember that it is not necessarily the main one. Even with Leopards, this could be a distraction.”

Political scientist Sergei Markov sums it up:

“For now the situation is developing in the model of the Battle of Kursk. That is, with huge losses, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are moving forward a little. The General Staff of Ukraine and the United States knows that the Russian General Staff wants to repeat the model of the Battle of Kursk and will try to jump out of this rut. Will they succeed? We'll see. The two days of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive have so far yielded very modest results. The offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue tomorrow. The Russian army is maintaining an active defense.”
