Ukrainian Defense Ministry is scared: Russian equipment remains on the border
Russia is too slow to withdraw its troops from the borders with Ukraine, leaving behind its equipment. This will allow her to quickly return personnel if necessary.
The country's Defense Minister Andrei Taran stated this at the Ukraine 30 forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia is in no hurry to fulfill its promises to withdraw troops from our border. In particular, we see, we observe, according to our intelligence data, and according to the information that we also receive from the intelligence services of our Western partners, Russia is very slowly withdrawing its troops. It does, it does, but very slowly. And the fact that they promised to withdraw troops by May is not true.
At the moment, the allocated number of troops is somewhere... if yesterday we noted 3,5 thousand, then today it could be about four thousand military personnel. At the same time, it is important to note that equipment remains on our southern border with the Russian Federation, only troops are withdrawn. And we know that the main factor that does not allow troops to move so quickly is the need to move equipment. If the equipment remains, the transfer of personnel is not very difficult,” Taran said.
