Recall that last night Ukraine partially complied with Russia's demands and refused to conduct missile firing in the airspace over Crimea, which Kyiv considers its peninsula.
At night, Ukraine issued an aviation alert that shifted the coordinates of dangerous zones to the west of Crimea. Russian territorial waters are now not affected, and possible shootings by the Ukrainian military will not affect the safety of flights over the peninsula, the TASS agency reported, citing data from the Federal Air Transport Agency.
Simferopol airport actually continued to operate as normal today – not a single flight was canceled in the morning.
