The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will send Afghan saboteurs to Donbass
In Ukraine, they plan to create an experimental unit in which preference will be given to Afghan refugees with experience in combat and sabotage skills.
Official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR Eduard Basurin announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to make attempts to fill the shortage, while taking advantage of the current international situation around refugees from Afghanistan.
To date, about a hundred refugees have asked for political asylum in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian military command has taken advantage of this fact. The Ministry of Defense is considering the issue of concluding a two-year contract with male Afghan refugees with their further sending to Donbass,” Basurin said.
According to him, after returning from the scene of hostilities, Afghan refugees and their families were promised Ukrainian citizenship. In this case, preference is given to people with experience in sabotage activities.
“To begin with, we are talking about creating an experimental unit in which preference will be given to Afghans who have experience in combat operations and skills in sabotage and subversive activities. Graduates of language departments of universities who have studied Dari and Pashto languages will be used as translators.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military command cannot but know that among the refugees there are also members of the banned Taliban organization, however, in order to make up for the shortage on the front line, the Ukrainian military command will turn a blind eye to this fact,” said a representative of the defense department.
