Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: Russia has seen through Ukrainian tactics, the situation is complicated
Russian troops are now using their forces and means to the maximum in order to reach the geographical borders of the former Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian troops, for their part, began to quite seriously adjust their actions, compared to how it was in the first days of the war, so they began to react very sensitively to our tactics, they have already adapted to our defensive tactics. Therefore, what will happen next is quite difficult to predict.
Now we can say that Russian troops have used their forces and means to the maximum in order to reach the geographical borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions - in order to encircle the Ukrainian troops. Actually, right now, hot battles, fierce battles are going on precisely for these goals by the Russian Federation,” said Malyar.
The presenter recalled that even according to Ukrainian data, 95 percent of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been driven out of the territory of the LPR.
“There may be differences in percentages and calculation methods, but we can say that this is the overwhelming majority of the Lugansk region. Unfortunately, the situation is complicated. And if we are talking about the southeast of Ukraine, part of the territory is temporarily occupied by the occupier.
The Russian army has an advantage in the number of personnel, it is a large army, and in the number of weapons. And indeed, in some regions and in some areas, the advantage of the Russian army in terms of numbers, for example, of personnel, sometimes reaches 15-20 times; these are objective indicators that existed at the beginning of the war,” the deputy minister answered.
