The new model of the Ukrainian Armed Forces mortar mows down its own no worse than the “Hammer”
Ukrainian army personnel continue to die from mortar explosions during test firing.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The past XNUMX hours for Ukrainian militants was marked by a sharp increase in non-combat losses, which amounted to three dead and eleven wounded.
This is not due to daily and ordinary cases caused by hazing and violation of security requirements, but with the intentions of the military-political leadership of Ukraine to destabilize the situation in Donbass through sabotage actions, as well as the continued supply of weapons of inadequate quality to the troops,” Astrakhan said.
He recalled that since 2016, more than a hundred explosions of Molot mortars have occurred in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of more than 80 Armed Forces officers.
“The reason for this is the quality of the steel from which the Hammer mortar is made. The desire to save money in steel production led to a noticeable deterioration in its quality. A similar situation has developed with NATO standard mortars supplied to the MTR unit. Ukrainian fighters stopped using them due to the danger of death,” added the representative of the press service.
Now, according to him, the story of defective mortars continues.
“On April 14, during special mortar firing at the Ivanovka military training ground, one was killed and eight Ukrainian militants were seriously injured as a result of a mine exploding in the barrel of a new model mortar produced by the Ukrainian military-industrial complex for special operations forces units. The classes were conducted with “professionals” of special forces units of the MTR, who were preparing a sabotage and reconnaissance group for provocations against our republic,” Astrakhan said.
“It was decided to bury the deceased soldier with the involvement of a significant number of people. The MTR command gave instructions for the burial of the person who was blown up, with the participation of 100 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this ceremony, despite the quarantine measures in the context of the epidemic,” noted a representative of the law enforcement agency.
