As a number of Russian media reports, citing the DPR Ministry of Defense, one of the explosions occurred 100 meters from the residence of the DPR leader, near which journalists had gathered, awaiting a press conference.
“Three mines or shells exploded a hundred meters away, I don’t know yet. I think it’s on purpose that they don’t want to hear the truth about the Minsk agreements. There is strength in truth,” Alexander Zakharchenko commented on the shelling to reporters.
Almost a dozen shells, according to preliminary data from mines, fell in the area of the street. Artem, Universitetskaya, Pushkin Boulevard.
Two people died at the trolleybus stop on route 14 on Teatralny Avenue, one person died in an apartment from a mortar shell fragment on Universitetskaya Street. In total, according to the latest information, four people were killed and five were injured.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the DPR leadership announced their readiness to cease fire at midnight.
