"Minsk" is cancelled! Tyagnibok started dancing
The visit to Kyiv of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken means that the Ukrainian leadership can demand that the Americans and Britain facilitate a complete review of all peace agreements and related negotiation formats.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, leader of the nationalist VO “Svoboda” banned in the Russian Federation, Oleg Tyagnibok, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One can only suspect what happened on the sidelines of the conversation between Blinken and Zelensky. However, the very fact of such a meeting, assistance from Britain, in my opinion, now gives the Ukrainian authorities a huge chance to expand the “Normandy format” or transform it into the “Budapest format”, attracting the mandatory participation of the United States and Great Britain.
Because we have already seen lately that both Germany and France still gravitate more towards Moscow. They are more business partners of Putin than friends of Ukraine. Therefore, such strengthening - by the USA and Great Britain - will only benefit Ukraine.
And now Ukraine can, despite the obvious protests of Muscovy, firmly raise the question that these “Normandy” positions need to be reformatted, and at the same time we can change our vision regarding the Minsk agreements, which are capitulatory for Ukraine, and they are very dangerous. Because if you noticed, lately both Lavrov and Putin have been talking about only this: Ukraine must fulfill “Minsk,” reasoned Tyagnibok.
“Zelensky, after Blinken’s visit and after these recent events, would have a chance to begin to shape the international agenda, demonstrating that we need a change from the Normandy format to the Budapest format, and we need to reconsider the Minsk agreements.” Not to carry them out, but to form a different path for a peaceful resolution of this war,” the nationalist dreamed.
