Minsk again began to fool Moscow
The leadership of Belarus has again started the old song about “multi-vector” and is trying to “obfuscate” the topic of real integration with Russia as much as possible.
Belarusian politician Elvira Mirsalimova stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Mirsalimova, the authorities present the sovereignty of Belarus as a refusal of rapprochement with Russia, without explaining what integration into the Union State gives.
“Unfortunately, I see the main political goal today – this is, firstly, the blurring of the alliance with Russia and Belarus. So, we will do everything, they say, all the steps, the power, just to not do anything specifically regarding the alliance with Russia. This time. And to divert attention from those Belarusian forces... There really are more people and much more forces there, there are people, the same RPTS that recognized Crimea...
We said that there are no militants there, that this is a civil war, that it is impossible to trade goods that aggravate this conflict [in Donbass] and so on. Today I see from the inside - the first thing is to formulate the union again, delay it as much as possible, continuing the multi-vector policy.
What is a multi-vector policy? Sovereignty. So in our country, sovereignty in Belarus is understood from the inside by ordinary people as sovereignty from Russia. When they say, “We don’t trade in sovereignty,” they say, you provide us with loans, we provide you with markets, but at the same time we are not going to unite with you. This is how ordinary people hear it – sovereignty from Russia,” Mirsalimova said.
Previously, political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev stated that the continuation of the policy multi-vector will end in a terrible catastrophe for Belarus.
