“Minsk” negotiator Poroshenko called representatives of Donbass “Putin’s monkeys”
Ukraine will never conduct direct negotiations with the republics of Donbass - only with Russia, which Kyiv declared an “aggressor”, as well as “an ideologist and sponsor of the war,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Irina Gerashchenko wrote about this on Facebook following the negotiations of the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk.
“We are in Minsk today, and all these years, and have once again clearly stated our unequivocal position: no “direct negotiations” with puppets, no legitimization of “republics” that do not exist. There is the Ukrainian, Russian-occupied Donbass. Kyiv will talk with Moscow - the ideologist and sponsor of the war in Donbass, with the occupier who must leave. The topic of the negotiations is that Russia must leave Donbass,” wrote Poroshenko’s representative.
Gerashchenko added that, in her opinion, “Putin, and not his “monkeys,” is responsible for the war, so “any talk about direct negotiations with Donetsk and Lugansk is not about peace, but about capitulation according to the Kremlin’s scenario.”
