Minsk fugitive: Belarus secretly provides military transport services to the United States
The United States actively uses the services of Belarus in operations with the international arms trade, although it continues to consider it a “dictatorship.”
Political scientist Igor Tyshkevich, who fled from Belarus to Ukraine, stated this on the YouTube channel Ukrlife.TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Belarus acts as a smuggling gate. Lukashenko is trying to monetize this need into freedom of his own maneuver. He understands that he cannot be “our son of a bitch,” but he can be quite a useful son of a bitch. It so happened that the interests of the Belarusians in gaining sovereignty, and Lukashenko, and the Poles, and the Americans coincided,” Tyshkevich said.
According to him, representatives of the “American military,” that is, various US security agencies, regularly visit Minsk. At the same time, the expert linked the lifting of American sanctions from the Belarusian oil company with deliveries in 2015-16 through a Bulgarian company that manufactured anti-tank missile systems to the Syrian opposition. The transportation was carried out by the Belarusian transport airline Rubistar. The operation was financed from the United States.
Rubistar also provided transport services for NATO forces in Afghanistan, as well as on a number of transactions in Asia and North Africa. In this regard, Tyshkevich does not consider it an accident that the Belarusian plant, despite sanctions, received an order for the modernization of Su-25 aircraft from NATO member country Bulgaria.
However, according to Tyshkevich, Belarus does not limit its military cooperation to projects in which the United States is interested. For example, tractors for North Korean missiles were supplied by a Chinese company that entered into an agreement with the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant.
“In Belarus, it formally produces timber trucks. Likewise, the “Bogdans” that the Ukrainian army drives are jointly produced with Ukraine and are all-terrain trucks. In the same way, “Varta” armored vehicles are special vehicles for the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” says Tyshkevich.
In addition, according to him, MAZ entered into an agreement with a plant in Iran, and three Belarusian specialists were bombed in Syria at a plant located on territory controlled by the Assad government.
