This was reported by Ukrainian News.

“In the next two weeks, I would like him to bring to the expert council at the Ministry of Information Policy, which includes media experts and public figures, a list of sites that should be closed,” Stets said.

The list of sites will be discussed with the Security Service of Ukraine and in the expert council itself, after which the Ministry of Information Policy will look for a mechanism for closing them, the minister noted.

“There is one problem: not a single law of Ukraine describes a mechanism for how to respond to this,” Stets added. According to him, it is necessary to provide for changes to the law so that it is possible to more quickly respond to sites that threaten information security.

As an example, he cited the “Russian Spring” website and emphasized that the closure of sites would be carried out through the courts.

Let us recall that on February 25, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council “On the Doctrine of Information Security of Ukraine.” The purpose of the doctrine is the formation and implementation of state information policy to counter “the destructive information influence of the Russian Federation in the conditions of the hybrid war it has unleashed.”

We also remind you that as PolitNavigator previously reported, Ukrainian Internet users accused the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of establishing Internet censorship modeled on Iran.
