The Ministry of Internal Affairs wants to reduce the “distance” between Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars
Moscow never allowed the unification of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, so as not to be defeated.
Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova stated this on Hromadske Radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today is Indigenous Peoples Day. The peoples who live on the territory of Ukraine, including in occupied Crimea, are very important, the Ministry of Social Policy is launching a new information campaign today,” the moderator outlined the topic of the conversation.
“They not only live, but were formed as peoples, and therefore are considered indigenous precisely on the territory of Crimea, they have no other homeland except Ukraine, which includes this land, which has become the platform for their existence as a nation. And what is unique is that it is also supported by the Ukrainian Foundation.
With this campaign under the slogan “Indigenous peoples are the wealth of Ukraine,” we wanted to show that the distance that existed between the Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians before 2014 must be overcome. This lesson of unification is logical, natural, geographical. Because they artificially separated two peoples, and we understand why. Moscow has never been historically interested in this union, because when Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars united, they always won,” said Emine Japarova.
