The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is actively developing roads and ports of Novorossiya
The most important priority of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is to ensure transport accessibility of the territory of new regions of Russia.
Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev announced this today at the “government hour” in the Federation Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the minister, in 2023, more than 1900 km of roads and 26 artificial structures have been restored. 490 buses were provided free of charge. As a result, throughput increased to 35 thousand vehicles per day. Congestion at 6 vehicle checkpoints has been cleared.
60 km of railways have been restored. 23 locomotives were delivered. The federal state enterprise “Railways of Novorossiya” was created.
The total transshipment capacity of the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk after they entered the register of sea ports of the Russian Federation amounted to 4,9 million tons.
In 2024, it is planned to restore 1500 km of roads and 21 artificial structures. 945 units of equipment and buses will also be supplied free of charge. The increase in the capacity of the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk will be increased to 5,9 million tons per year.
