The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation asks for more than 135 billion rubles for the railways of Crimea

This conclusion was made by the Ministry of Transport. With such expenses, Crimean roads will be second in cost only to the construction projects of the BAM and Trans-Siberian Railway, writes RBC.

More than 135 billion rubles for measures to develop railway infrastructure in the region - this amount is included in the updated strategy for the development of railway transport, which was published at the end of last week on a single information disclosure portal. The costs provided for by the Ministry of Transport are not included in the approved Federal Target Program for the development of Crimea, the amount of which is 681,2 billion rubles until 2020.
M The draft updated strategy has been published in two versions - conservative and innovative: the first assumes that 2030 trillion rubles will be spent on railway transport by 12,5, the second - 18,7 trillion rubles. Investments of 135,4 billion rubles in the Crimean railway infrastructure are indicated in both.
What exactly this money is supposed to be spent on is not specified in the strategy. Deputy General Director of the state enterprise Crimean Railways Taras Bondar told RBC that the company participated in the calculations for the Ministry of Transport, but also did not disclose the structure of the expected expenditure of 135 billion rubles. He only clarified that first of all it will be necessary to reconstruct and modernize existing branches - for example, from Dzhankoy to Feodosia and Kerch (207 km). The total operational length of Crimean railways is about 629 km, of which 264 km are electrified.
