The press service of the ministry reported this. The claim was filed with the District Administrative Court of Kyiv.
Let us recall that on May 13, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov addressed the Ministry of Justice with a request to study the possibility of banning the Communist Party of Ukraine due to its possible “collaboration with separatists in the southeast of the country.” Turchynov asked the Ministry of Justice to study the issue of the involvement of the Communist Party of Ukraine in committing actions aimed at violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, undermining its security, illegal seizure of state power, and “take immediate measures to ban the party in accordance with the procedure established by law.”
After this, the Ministry of Justice sent requests to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Security Service, asking for an investigation into possible criminal offenses by the leadership of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
As Navigator reported, the Ministry of Justice was previously concerned about banning the Russian Bloc party.
