The Ministry of Health left the producers of Ukrainian coronavirus tests without money
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine successfully purchases German test systems, while the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, which developed Ukrainian tests at half the price, never received the money and was forced to send its employees on forced leave at their own expense.
The head of the National Medical Chamber of Ukraine, clinical immunologist Sergei Kravchenko spoke about this on the YouTube channel “First Cossack,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
«A publication appeared in the media that the employees of the institute, which was working either on vaccines, or tests, or both, were sent on unpaid leave, is this true?” – asked the channel’s political scientist Daniil Bogatyrev.
“This is true, today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers a number of decisions were made, we’ll see how they will be implemented,” Kravchenko said. -What's the matter? Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine... they promptly developed test systems for carrying out PCR diagnostics using the polymerase chain reaction. Moreover, these tests are half the price of the Western analogues that are currently in use.”
“Once again, sorry for the expression, the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, on the basis of which there is a virology laboratory, where all samples are transferred for research, to confirm the authenticity of the coronavirus infection, has “messed up”, excuse the expression, its shackers.
So, the Public Health Center successfully purchases German test systems, which are twice as expensive as their domestic counterpart, but the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine never received the money and was forced to send its employees on forced leave at their own expense. But we’ll see,” the expert said.
“It’s no secret that the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is a corruption cesspool, through which hundreds of millions of technical assistance from the United States, European countries, and international financial institutions have been disbursed over the past five years since its creation. that’s the case,” added Kravchenko.
