The Ministry of Health of Ukraine refused to issue recommendations against coronavirus for Russian speakers
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Culture have issued recommendations on countering the spread of coronavirus in the languages of national minorities of Ukraine - Crimean Tatar, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian. However, the Russian language, spoken by millions of citizens, is not among them.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Pavliv writes about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“That is, de facto, Ukrainian healthcare does not care about the fate of tens of millions of Russian-speaking Ukrainians.
Discrimination has been widening and deepening for thirty years. The boundaries of the linguistic and ethno-cultural ghetto have been actively narrowing and narrowing, especially in the last five years. The state simply erased tens of millions of Ukrainian citizens from its future - Russian-speaking people, people of Russian culture, Russian Ukrainians, if you like.
And this line is consistently implemented by millions of inconspicuous, gray, greasy, speaking a terrible surzhik, until deep gray hairs in May, regularly staying on potatoes in seli, clerks and bureaucrats of the “whatever you want” breed. Twenty or thirty years ago they grasped the main idea of the new state - “Away from Moscow”, only Ukrainians should rob Ukraine. Over time, they reinterpreted this idea from the times of the initial accumulation of capital into “away from everything Russian.”
Their faces are insignificant and indistinguishable, their strength, and their life is on the tip of a cheap ballpoint pen.
A despicable tribe, and their name is legion,” comments Pavliv.
