Peace returns to the city of Alindao in the south of the Central African Republic
Recaptured from militants by CAR government forces (FACE) the city of Alindao is gradually returning to a stable, peaceful existence.
According to Central African media, local residents are now walking the streets without fear for their lives. The city administration is also resuming its work.
The radical group “Union for Peace in the Central African Republic” (UPC) kept several areas of the settlement under control for about a day. However, the competent actions of the national army after consultations with Russian instructors did not leave a single chance for the militants who were eliminated or fled from Alindao.
Government forces, trained by the Russians, who in the West are persistently attributed to the “Wagner PMC,” showed a high level of military training and defeated the radicals, returning a sense of stability and calm to the residents of Alindao.
“The situation has stabilized following the arrival of reinforcements to FACA forces based in Alindao town. Since Monday, the city has been controlled by UPC elements that still remain in the surrounding area. Currently, the militants have fled the city, abandoning their equipment,” said one of the city residents.
