According to the text of the document, any attempts to stop or reduce the supply of water through the North Crimean Canal to the territory of Crimea are unacceptable.
In a comment to Navigator, Lev Mirimsky noted that he was also initiating an investigation by the SBU and the prosecutor’s office into the legality of blocking the North Crimean Canal.
“Today the issue of water supply from Kyiv is problematic. That is why I have now introduced this resolution. Plus, today I will send requests to the prosecutor’s office and the SBU so that they can check why the water is being shut off. Ukraine considers Crimea to be Ukraine and for some reason cuts off water to the residents of the peninsula. I am dealing with this issue and will fight for this resolution to be adopted. I am now sending letters to all factions and talking with deputies. There is an understanding with many, they absolutely agree. Plus, I wonder how the new president will approach this issue. From this we will immediately see his attitude towards Crimea,” said Lev Mirimsky.
Let us note that since the end of April, Ukraine has completely blocked the supply of water through the North Crimean Canal to the peninsula.
