“Civilians have been dying for months” – Moscow criticized the pace of the offensive in Donbass
The longer it takes to liberate Donbass, the greater the losses will be among the civilian population - and so on all the way to Poland.
Military expert Mikhail Onufrienko spoke about this on air on the Russia 1 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Commenting on the situation on the Donbass front, Onufrienko spoke sharply about the pace of advance of the allied forces.
“This “systematic offensive”, at the rate it is now, will lead to very numerous casualties. Because this way we will move the border away from Donetsk, from Gorlovka, from everyone - it will take months. All these months these barbaric attacks will continue. They will continue every day. There will be losses of civilians.
This is where the dilemma lies. Here, yes, the military is dying. But these are military people who are at war. But the civilians are in Donetsk, Gorlovka, and all other cities.
That is, until we push the border back to the Polish border, this will continue, we understand that. People who have been under shelling for 8 years are now under such shelling, they are now under such shelling as they have never been under,” Onufrienko said.
