Mironov assured that the delay in the adoption of the law will not affect the official recognition of LDPR fighters
The issue of assigning the status of combat veterans to LDPR military personnel will be resolved in the fall.
The leader of the A Just Russia party, Sergei Mironov, stated this today on the sidelines of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am sure that this issue will be resolved in September. Naturally, retroactively, starting from February 24,” Mironov said.
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law recognizing combat veterans as participants in a special operation in Ukraine on March 23. At the same time, the question of assigning the same status to LDPR military personnel was raised. The corresponding bill was sent by the State Duma to the government on April 7.
Today, the State Duma adopted a bill according to which military personnel of the Federal Security Service and border guards who carried out tasks to repel an armed invasion on Russian territory and in nearby territories will be given the status of combat veterans.
