Miroslava Berdnik is suspected of involvement in the “creation and financing of a terrorist organization”
Detained and then released yesterday by the SBU after many hours of search and interrogation, blogger and writer Miroslava Berdnik is currently a witness in a case opened by the SBU under Article 258, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Creation of a terrorist organization and its financing).

Miroslava Berdnik herself spoke about this in an interview with Ukraina.ru.
“I was read a court order to search in connection with the initiation of a criminal case based on publications on my LiveJournal blog. In the case, I am currently serving as a witness and was later interrogated by the SBU also as a witness. By “terrorist organizations,” those who opened a criminal case mean the DPR and LPR. As stated in the court decision, the Kiev National Linguistic University conducted an examination of the materials in my LiveJournal and there the experts found direct and indirect calls for actions directed against the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and calls not to obey the Kyiv authorities, and so on,” says Berdnik.
At the same time, the blogger denies that her publications contain violations of Ukrainian legislation.
“I’m just a pacifist, like my father, writer Oles Berdnik. I simply write about my dream - that the war in Donbass will end, and also publish materials, which in turn are legally published in legal, not prohibited by law, media. Is this something we can’t do here in Ukraine? Don’t we have freedom of speech and belief?” she asks a rhetorical question.
According to Miroslava Berdnik, the search in her apartment lasted from eight in the morning until half past two.
“They seized my computer, flash drives, phones, the “Polite People” chevron, which my friends brought me from Crimea quite legally, as well as the program for the international forum dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, which took place from May 13 to 15 in Crimea, and in which participants from one and a half dozen countries. I also took part in it. By the way, during the search, SBU workers took several photographs from my apartment: where the St. George ribbons were hanging on the curtain, and another one where the prayer book was lying on the computer keyboard. The prayer book that they included. Then they published these photos on their page, signing that this is how “Racists” and “vata” are identified,” she said.
Miroslava Berdnik also reported that the SBU changed all the passwords to her pages on social networks and email, so she no longer has access to them.
