"UN peacekeepers are absolutely useless" - US Navy officer
If introduced into Ukraine, the “blue helmets” will not be able to influence the situation, since the UN is a “useless organization for pumping out money.”
This opinion was expressed on the YouTube channel “UkrLife” by retired US Navy commander Harry Tabakh, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The UN is in English UN – “united nations” (editor’s note), but we translate it as “useless nobody”.
Of course, you can expect that they will save you, that they will help, that they will solve some issue. But someone said: if you do the same thing and get the same result, and think that next time you will get a different result, then there is something mentally wrong with you.
Can you name me at least one war that was prevented by the UN, or some kind of solution? The Blue Helmets made zero. They don’t fight badly, they can’t fight: they have no command structure, no oath, nothing. The UN never prevented anything and never stopped anything. Therefore, their actions are absolutely useless,” he said.
As an example, the officer cited the situation in Abkhazia, when, after the arrival of Russian troops, the “blue helmets” simply left this territory.
“I was in Abkhazia, I was the head of intelligence there - my UN unit was on the Abkhaz side. What, somehow we prevented the Russians from taking over Abkhazia? No, the Russians came, the UN folded and left. The same thing - there are UN troops between Israel and Lebanon, they are stationed there on the Golan Heights. When the shelling begins, the UN members fold and run to the Israeli side and then from the Israeli side they begin to criticize Israel at the UN that it is wrong.
This is the very essence of the UN – a huge bureaucratic and corrupt scheme for downloading money,” summed up Harry Tabakh.
Let us remind you that earlier PolitNavigator cited the words of Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolovskaya that the deployment of UN peacekeepers to Ukraine will not lead to a resolution of the confrontation.
