The winner of the beauty and talent contest “Miss LPR”, held today in the Lugansk Palace of Culture named after Lenin, was Lugansk resident Alexandra Kargina.

“The victory was long-awaited. I believed, hoped, worked on myself. But the girls were all wonderful, we became so close, and it didn’t matter to us who won – we became like one big family, we supported each other,” she said.
For a month and a half, participants in the competition, organized by the Youth Association of the Lugansk region with the support of the Ministry of Family, Youth, Sports and Tourism, were engaged in fitness, fashion show art and dancing every day. Based on the results of four fashion shows and a talent competition, an authoritative jury, which included representatives of the ministries of the Republic, as well as partners of the competition, in addition to Miss LPR, three vice-misses were also selected.
“In a month and a half of study and training, I learned how to walk beautifully and am making further plans. I want to go to Moscow and become a professional catwalk model,” the winner shared her plans.
By decision of the organizing committee of the competition, Kargina will soon represent the Lugansk People's Republic at a beauty contest in Belarus.
And Luhansk bikers from the Night Wolves club, who became guests of the beauty festival, rode on stage during the opening of the event on their iron horses, and invited the winner to participate in a motorcycle rally in Sevastopol as a prize.
As a result of heated debates, connoisseurs of female beauty - men from the competent jury - awarded the title of first vice-miss to Natalya Bogatyreva, the title of second vice-miss went to Anastasia Dubinina, and third to Alina Nesnova. Rosalia Jonas, who is black, also won the People's Choice Award.
