This was announced today by the official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine continues to flagrantly violate the norms of international humanitarian law and the obligations assumed by Ukraine enshrined in Article Three of the 1949 Geneva Convention common to all and its 1977 Protocol II regarding the protection of civilian objects during armed conflicts. Such facts are reflected in the published OSCE report on February 27 of this year,” Marochko said.
According to him, OSCE representatives indicate that near the building of an electrical substation located on the southern outskirts of the village of Zolote-5 (Mikhailovka), members of the special mission patrol saw two craters: one 50 meters to the west and another 100–120 meters meters north of the building.
“A large amount of mercury is stored at this substation, and if a projectile hits this substation, this can lead to an environmental disaster and irreparable consequences,” noted Andrei Marochko.
