OSCE mission: since the beginning of the year, 107 civilians have died from shelling and mines in Donbass
At a special meeting of the UN Security Council, the head of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine, Erturul Apakan, said that since the beginning of 2018 in Donbass, observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission have recorded more than 100 thousand ceasefire violations and 107 deaths of civilians, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Since January of this year, the OSCE SMM has recorded more than 100 thousand ceasefire violations after a short pause in hostilities, after which they resumed,” he said.
He noted that the SMM recorded shelling of civilian infrastructure and deaths of civilians.
“Since the beginning of the year, the mission has confirmed the deaths of 107 civilians, most of them as a result of shelling or being blown up by mines or improvised explosive devices. Most of the cases occurred in April-May,” Apakan informed.
