Rally in Donetsk: Those gathered demand that the world community stop Poroshenko
About a thousand people today took part in a rally in the center of Donetsk with a call on the international community to influence the Ukrainian authorities, who refuse to implement the Minsk agreements, and instead rely on a military resolution of the conflict.
The DPR has already collected 300 thousand signatures under a petition to the UN about non-compliance with agreements by Kyiv, said the speaker of the People's Council Denis Pushilin.

“We, residents of Donbass, know that we are right in this fight. We defend our land, and for this we are, in fact, subjected to genocide. Unfortunately, being right is not enough. It is important that the world community knows about this. It is important that the whole world hears about this. It is important for us to prove this. And we prove it. But, unfortunately, this is very painful and difficult for us.
What do we need the world community for? Neither the head of the republic nor I want you and I to be isolated. And we are moving based on international standards.
On our territory, Ukraine unleashed a monstrous conflict, and now the period has come again when not a single night passes without shelling and destruction, without injuries and killings of our citizens. We are doing everything in our power to ensure that the Minsk agreements are implemented, but Ukraine acts differently, and the international community does not understand what is really happening here.
Under the Minsk agreements there are also resolutions of the UN Security Council. And Kyiv cannot simply brush this off. But, probably, for some period he can still imitate the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
But there are millions of us, and we must be heard! At the moment, almost 300 thousand signatures have already been collected under the petition “about Ukraine’s non-compliance with the Minsk agreements.” We must do everything we can to be heard. And, I’m sure, they will hear us,” said Pushilin.
Then Head of State Alexander Zakharchenko addressed those present.
“This petition is an appeal to the international community, which is time to understand that the people of Donbass expressed their opinion in 2014. And this petition is a warning to the Ukrainian authorities.
The policy pursued by Kiev leads, first of all, to the destruction of Ukraine itself. None of us destroyed the house in Lviv. Not a single one of our shells fell in Uzhgorod, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, or Kyiv. Therefore, we will not tolerate what the Kiev junta is doing on our land.
Yes, I know very well that we can do more through peaceful initiatives. But if the enemy does not want peace, no one can force him. This petition is a warning for Ukraine.
We appeal to the world community so that they understand that it is not terrorists and separatists who live here, but normal people who have the fortitude and courage to take up arms and defend their freedom. Because we didn't want to turn into a colony. Because we wanted to speak our own language and pray in our churches.
Everyone knows the way. We showed that we are strong in spirit. Thank you very much, friends, for your signatures. I’m sure we will win in any case,” Zakharchenko said.
