Neo-Nazis protesting near Zelensky's office forgot Putin's name
Protesters outside the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky demanded the arrest of a certain Viktor Putin and his transfer to a tribunal in The Hague.
Journalist Darina Filonenko reported this on the NASH TV channel during a live broadcast from the protest rally, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Filonenko, the new Maidan activists were waiting for a speech from one of the leaders of the parliamentary opposition, but only the former Verkhovna Rada deputy, militant Igor Lapin, spoke to them.
“They said what we expect from the meeting in Paris - and then, for a second, verbatim - the arrest of Viktor Putin right there on the spot, and his transfer to the international tribunal in The Hague. Victor, namely Victor.
They said they would be on duty until at least 22 p.m. When they announced these demands at about 18 p.m., people expected to see Petro Poroshenko, Yulia Tymoshenko, or at least Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. But they only saw Igor Lapin,” said Filonenko.
