“Fascism should under no circumstances be reborn on our land, because it is a satanic, demonic ideology that has destroyed many human lives,” the bishop said.
The Metropolitan also noted that the upcoming 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War should encourage people to rethink a lot both in their lives and in history.
“Including what is happening today in the Donbass, on our land, where blood is also being shed, people are dying, so we must draw the right lessons from what is happening,” he is sure.
The Metropolitan appealed to young people and students to carefully study the events of the Great Patriotic War, using the memories of veterans and other eyewitnesses as the main sources of information.
In addition, Bishop Mitrofan noted that in 1945 the Victory was won on Easter days, when believers glorified the risen Christ, who conquered death, evil and untruth.
“Let us believe that together with the Lord we will overcome all evil and untruth,” the Metropolitan expressed hope.
