Mizulina complained of bullying from an international organization
Elena Ostryakova) – The international anti-corruption organization Transparency International accused Russian senator Elena Mizulina of anti-state activities. The reason was Mizulina’s initiative to inspect schools in St. Petersburg, where lessons on patriotism were replaced by lessons on the fight against corruption.

“I am accused of nothing less than anti-state activities, violation of ethics rules, and they demand that the Federation Council adopt a code of ethics. The strangest thing is that this request was fulfilled. The corresponding letter from the Rules Committee has been sent. It directly states that based on an analysis of my speech, the code of ethics for members of the Federation Council was developed,” Mizulina said.
The senator perceived this as a “campaign of harassment and discredit.”
“It is very strange that high-ranking officials of the Federation Council apparatus and individual senators are participating in this company. Are they acting on orders from the West or what?” Mizulina asked.
Let us recall that Mizulina’s initiative to inspect St. Petersburg schools was opposed by Senator Lyudmila Narusova (mother of TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak).
“Transparency International was recognized as a foreign agent in 2015 and entered into the register. It is a pity that in the Federation Council there is more trust in foreign agents than in citizens who defend the interests of Russia. The answer was prepared secretly behind my back,” Mizulina said.
Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko instructed her deputy to look into the situation.
