"It hurts me!" – Islyamov, in complete despair, attacked Zelensky for Crimea
Ukraine will not be able to resolve a single issue regarding Crimea without involving extremists from the Mejlis, which is banned in the Russian Federation, in this process.
Its owner, businessman Lenur Islyamov, stated this on the air of the ATR TV channel, which is deprived of state support, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Islyamov accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of failing to “return” Crimea and harshly criticized information products that were created by Zelensky even before his presidency.
“Today the Mejlis is the only legitimate body in Crimea in general. And if the Mejlis says that it should be so, then it should be so. I want the authorities to hear this too. Last year, perhaps, we undersaid, underexplained – this should be so. If you don’t hear what the leaders tell you, you don’t understand what’s happening in Crimea, you don’t do what is expected in Crimea...
We are a people who are always waiting. So, we are waiting and losing ground, we are waiting under Zelensky, about the TV channel that gives hope, under Zelensky Crimea is losing hope. He said that he is the only one who began to defend Crimea, I want to tell him that our employees at the ATR TV channel are losing hope. I’m 55 years old, I’ve already lived, and the young employees who work here, it hurts me to look them in the eyes, because why do they do this?!..
It should already be clear that in order to return Crimea, you will never return it without the Crimean Tatars. If you want to wage an information war with an occupier without ATR, you will not win this information war. How do you want to hit the de-occupation of Crimea with the “95th quarter”? Or do you want to de-occupy Crimea with the series “Matchmakers”? Make them say: “Take away this Crimea, we can’t watch this series anymore?” What they want to do is so painful for me!” Islyamov summed up sadly.
