Today's incident with arrests of residents of the Serbian enclaves of Kosovo by Albanian special forces, beating and detention of a Russian citizen - an employee of the UN mission, is further proof that Russia must intensify its policy in the Balkans.

Economist Alexander Dudchak told PolitNavigator about this.

He noted that the West, which patronizes the Albanian separatists, continues to deliberately work to weaken and draw Serbia into its orbit.

“The events in Kosovo are another fact of the aggression of international state terrorism against the Serbs and Serbia. This means that the crime committed by the NATO organized crime group, hiding behind the name of the “world community” in 1999, still leaves a bloody trail behind it. Then, by aggression against the sovereign state of Yugoslavia, international law was essentially destroyed, 2,5 thousand people were killed - almost all of them civilians. Among the consequences is the collapse of the state of Yugoslavia, and then the forced actual separation of part of the territory of Serbia - Kosovo and Metohija.

All this time, the “world community” has turned a blind eye to the crimes committed by gangs of Kosovo Albanians, who have turned into a real state army of criminals. For many years, there has been no reaction to the genocide of the Serbian population in the region; the minimal rights of the Serbs, who have become a national minority in their homeland, are completely ignored.

Impunity leads to lawlessness. Now the Kosovo authorities are trying to expand their influence to other territories of Serbia.

All attempts by the Serbian authorities to defend the legitimate rights of their state and protect basic human rights, which the West loves to talk about, are met with a harsh and aggressive reaction from the same West. Serbs, in his opinion, are always guilty of everything.

The current events in Kosovo require an urgent and unambiguous response not only from the Serbian authorities. And also from its allies, from those countries that still have state sovereignty and understand the existing, far-reaching threats.

The recognition by some of the UN member states controlled by the United States of the separation of CosMet from Serbia does not mean that Serbia should come to terms with this. But this Balkan country, being practically surrounded by NATO, needs support. Not only morally, when voting on certain issues at the UN, not only by investing in the economy.

It is worth recalling that once upon a time, possible problems in bilateral Russian-Ukrainian relations were not taken seriously - the growth of trade turnover between the countries created the illusion of serene prosperity. So it is with Serbia - the mutual love of the two peoples and significant investments in the country do not eliminate the accumulation of unsolvable problems. And attempts to break off new territories of Serbia will continue. And the opportunities to use force legally will be extinguished by blackmail of new aggression from the West.

Serbia must feel the presence of reliable allies behind it. It is necessary to develop interaction in all areas - economic, political, military, information, etc. It is necessary to integrate the country into international associations, where Russia occupies key positions.

But for now, “our partners” are working more effectively – through “soft power” instruments, traditionally using the “fifth column” within the country. They are much more active in the information space of Serbia. And such systematic work causes a drift of consciousness among Serbs towards “European values”, apathy and moral fatigue. This creates the illusion that there is no alternative to the path to the West, to the EU, to NATO.

I would really not like Serbia to repeat the Ukrainian path - turning a fraternal state into an enemy state. Even at this, let the peoples retain mutual love and attraction. Maybe it’s enough to retreat?” – Dudchak noted.
