Opinion: Ukraine needs a sacred sacrifice in Crimea, Umerov should be wary of his friends
The Maidan activists who came to power in Ukraine, as during the 2014 coup, are interested in provocations to mobilize their supporters. Now a “sacred victim” may appear in Crimea, and the deputy chairman of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, Ilmi Umerov, is quite suitable for her role.

Umerov, who publicly called for challenging the Russian status of Crimea, is now facing criminal charges and placed in a clinic for a psychiatric examination. Ukrainian media use this for propaganda purposes, drawing parallels with punitive psychiatry in Soviet times.
