Opinion: “The Law of Oblivion” will be the best punishment for traitorous artists
Artists and other public figures who betrayed Russia must not only be punished, but consigned to complete oblivion in the information space.
This was stated by State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For artists, the main thing is popularity, it doesn’t even matter whether it’s negative or positive. He sits and gets high - even from the fact that we throw poop at him. And they applaud you, or someone who talks about him,” says Matveychev.
In his opinion, Russia should adopt Chinese practices and consign all traitorous artists to oblivion.
“In China, a young man, now no one remembers his last name, is the favorite of all Chinese girls, each of them had his portrait on the wall. Once, like our Kolya from Urengoy, he blurted out something about the Japanese, that they should be forgiven and something forgotten.
Within almost a day, he was “cut out” from all the paintings where he was. Now there is a film in which he starred, but he is not there. There are no mentions of him in the newspapers. No one will even remember his last name now.
This is work, professional and competent. So that we have children who have never heard the name Grebenshchikov or Pugacheva. It would be strong if we did that,” he concluded.
