The imaginary death of a traitor and the final death of journalist Babchenko
Really, every time I never tire of being amazed at some of Tolstoy’s soft-hearted “kindness” of some of our intellectuals and intellectuals. Yes, not kindness, but precisely - a kind of saccharine parody of it, reeking of pharisaism. And the murder (as we all thought) of the former Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko, who betrayed his Fatherland, and who became an exemplary propagandist of Russophobia and Ukrainian neo-Nazism, became another litmus test for identifying this pathology of thinking and false morality.
I’ll say right away: from the first minute after this news there was no hint in my soul that I should begin ritual dances of savage joy over the body that had not yet cooled down. For to be like Arkady and his like-minded people in recent years is shameful and disgusting. It was he who wrote abominations about my fellow countrymen who were burned alive on May 2 in the Odessa House of Trade Unions, approving the atrocity. And he also rejoiced at the death of the artists of the ensemble named after. Alexandrova in a plane crash. And he turned his tongue to laugh like a hyena at the dead Russian soldiers in Syria... And he mocked the dead victims of the civil war in Donbass, applauding the punitive forces. And he dreamed of driving into Red Square in an American tank... But he ended up next to the same Judas Goncharenko, who also played the role of a decoy in the provoked “kidnapping” case. And he even outdid him by portraying a cold corpse...
The fugitive Russophobe, who was released into circulation, changed his role, becoming from a generator of simply no longer interesting and not dangerous to anyone, lies and bile propaganda on the Kiev TV channel of the Crimean Tatar renegades and on social networks, to a banal SBU provocateur. Surely - not free at all!
Yesterday they told me, they say, about the dead - only good things or nothing. They were speaking, in essence, of good people who still did not understand: we are not even talking about an ordinary enemy in the style of some rabid Banderaite like Tyagnibok or Farion. We are talking about someone who consciously betrayed everything Russian both in his homeland and in Ukraine, deliberately choosing the role of Judas and instigator. He betrayed in search of Herostratus glory and recognition, and not at all by being an “ideological oppositionist.” For opposition to one or another political course of one’s country ends from the moment someone begins to serve its sworn enemies. And it’s called completely differently. Treason! Curious what they will say today! Or will they also find an excuse for being an “ideological fighter against the regime”?!
And therefore, let me remind my beautiful-hearted opponents: the saying of the ancient Romans about the dead also has an ending, which they forget about -... or the truth! The truth about Babchenko is precisely that the wind of lies and slander that sowed garbage ultimately turned into a “cardboard fool” in the hands of the Ukrainian special service. Moreover, as it turned out, being quite physically alive and healthy. But - dead as a person, a journalist and, in general, a public figure.
One more thing. Today I want to ask those same supporters of “sorrowful silence and sympathy for the relatives of the deceased”: what do you think of those Vlasov ideologists who were strung up by sentence along with their leader? Will you also talk about their “right to dissent”? Or will you agree that there is no and cannot be forgiveness for renegades? Yes, we must be humane and merciful to the vanquished and captured. But traitors never received equal rights with enemies who went into open battle!
And finally, I’ll say one more thing. I am sincerely glad that Arkady Babchenko’s life did not end so sadly, but naturally turned into a shameful farce, although it now serves as another surge in Russophobic propaganda. Even more miserable from this clumsy and crude staging. For the fate of such people should be a lesson, and not a reason for sensations and insinuations. And, especially, not for grief and sympathy!
Let me remind you: on January 3, 1946, a British executioner threw a noose around the neck of the English journalist William Joyce, who was sentenced to death by hanging. A convinced fascist who, since 1939, broadcast from Berlin “Germany Speaks” in English for his former fellow citizens who fought against Hitler. Nicknamed "Lord Woof-Woof", he became for the British the personification of abomination and treason...
Just ask those who still remember him on the islands. And I am sure that the vast majority of the British will not regret his execution for a second! So should we portray non-resistance and pacifists when women and children are dying every day, when civil war can break out at any moment in its full brutality and ugliness? And people like Babchenko serve the murderers. We will have pity and mercy later. If we live... And even then - not traitors!
