A rally of thousands in Donetsk demands that the UN “stop fascist Ukraine”
In Donetsk, about 20 thousand people took part in a rally dedicated to the second anniversary of the signing of the Minsk agreements. The protesters demanded that Ukraine fulfill the signed obligations.
Two years ago, the fierce shelling of Donetsk stopped for a while. The last shelling of Gorlovka before the signing of the agreements lasted 18 hours. People were able to leave the basements. At that time, many had high hopes for this document. But two years later, not a single point of the Minsk agreements has been implemented by Ukraine.

“Two years ago, the UN Security Council, by its resolution, approved a set of measures to implement the Minsk agreements, which were supposed to become a guarantee of peace. However, two years later, Ukraine continues to sabotage these agreements, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to shell our cities, where our people are dying. Ukraine does not care about international norms or reached agreements. The Ukrainian leadership has the blood of tens of thousands of civilians on its hands. We are the people calling Ukraine for peace, calling Ukraine for human relations, and have collected four hundred thousand signatures on a petition to the UN Security Council. We are people, we are not terrorists, we ask the world community to stop fascist Ukraine,” said Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Olga Makeeva.
