According to investigators, a 33-year-old resident of the Belogorsk district, having resigned from one of the Crimean Internet companies, stole user data and technical documentation.
“The suspect, upon dismissal from the position of technical director of one of the telecom operators of the Republic of Crimea, illegally took possession of the organization’s technical documentation, logins and passwords for access to the billing system for recording the work of telecom operators with subscribers.
Thus, using authentication data, no longer an employee of the company, he limited the provider’s access to managing communication channels, routers and servers, disorganizing the work of the enterprise.
In addition, the suspect remotely monitored the actions of subscribers of the telecom operator on the Internet, selectively limiting the latter’s access to services or providing unreasonable privileges,” the report says.
Now the man is suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal access to computer information protected by law, resulting in blocking and modification of computer information, by a person using his official position).
